Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital, 632 beds on Oakwood Boulevard, employs people who spend the day in scrubs and the evening, sometimes, in a suit: the department dinner, the interview across town, the retirement party for someone on the floor. That suit lives in a locker or on a hook in a car, and it has to come off the hook looking like it didn’t live there.
Built to travel
An Everyday Classic, $139 to $159, is a blend built to resist wrinkling and travel, and we say so on the tag. For a suit that spends its day folded, that’s the tier, and it’s honest money.
Or wool, for the room
If the evening is a warm restaurant or a long dinner, wool breathes and a blend doesn’t. Signature Wool, $259 to $299, is the suit for the room you walk into rather than the locker you walk out of. The consultant will say which, and he isn’t on commission.
The shirt
The suit survives the locker. The shirt doesn’t. Keep a second one in the bag, and have the jacket sleeve set to its cuff by Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, so the pair looks intended.
