A man from Keego Harbor buys a suit on a work trip, in a city with a store on every corner, and brings it home to half a square mile. It fits the way a suit bought in an hour fits: nearly. The gap between nearly and right is a trip to Greenfield Road, and it doesn’t matter where the suit was bought.
What can be fixed
Sleeves, hems, a waist in either direction, a seat, the middle of a jacket brought closer to the man. Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, works on suits bought anywhere, and ours is not a condition of his table. Bring the shoes, since the length is cut to them.
What can’t
The shoulder, and only the shoulder. A jacket grabbed a size up in a hurry puts that seam somewhere out on the arm, and there is no operation for it. What saves the purchase is that select suits on our floor sell as separates, so a jacket in his real size can join trousers that were always fine.
How long
Small jobs he can often do while you wait. For bigger work he quotes the job and confirms the completion date before he starts, so come the week you get home, not the week of the event, and leave knowing when it’s ready. Orchard Lake Road to Telegraph, south to I-696 east, off at Greenfield.
