Keego Harbor’s motto is Heart of the Lakes, because Cass, Dollar and Sylvan all reach inside a city of 2,800 people. A groom from Keego tends to have a wedding party spread around those shores: cousins on Cass Lake, a brother across Sylvan, a college roommate two states away. In a bigger town that spread is a problem. In Keego it’s barely one, because everybody leaves by the same road.
Fill the cars
Orchard Lake Road is the way out for all of them, so the groom picks a weekday evening and fills two cars. That sounds like a small thing. It isn’t, because the men who arrive together are fitted together, and a cloth chosen with six men standing in it is a cloth nobody argues about later by text.
The roommate two states away
He sends his measurements ahead and is fitted the week he lands. The cloth was settled the night the cars came, so what’s left for him is a hem and maybe a sleeve, and a hem is a small job Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, can often do while he waits.
Who buys
The party rents if they like, on one order; ask about group pricing for parties of five or more. The groom buys, because a suit he’ll wear to the next ten weddings around those same lakes is a purchase, and half-canvassed at $300 to $500 is the tier that lasts that long.
