The five towers of the Southfield Town Center make up the largest multi-tenant office complex in Michigan, and some of them have been meaning to deal with a suit for months. The problem is never the money. It is the hour.
What forty-five minutes buys
A fitting is a consultant pulling from thirty-two thousand suits the ones in your size and your budget, you trying on four or five, and one of them being right. Book it for the start of your break and the pinning is finished inside it. If you’d rather not book, walk in; nobody needs an appointment.
Bring the things you cannot borrow
The shoes you’ll wear with it, because the hem is cut to the heel. The shirt, if you own the one you’ll wear, because the sleeve is set to the cuff. Everything else we have.
Same day where it can be
Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, often does basic work the same day, depending on the garment and current workload. Ask whether a hem can be ready before you head back and he’ll say. Bigger work he prices before he starts, and tells you when.
From the Town Center: I-696 east to the Greenfield exit, then south. We’re open to 7 Monday through Wednesday and to 8 on Thursdays if the break ran long.
Also for Southfield: Lawrence Tech Graduates: A Suit That Survives a Plant Tour. More on style consulting, or plan your visit to our Oak Park showroom.
