Word of Faith International Christian Center on West Nine Mile Road fills every Sunday, and a lot of the men in those seats wear a suit more often than anyone in an office does. Fifty Sundays a year is hard on one suit. The cloth goes shiny at the seat, the jacket loses its line, and it happens quietly.
Why two beats one
Two suits worn on alternate Sundays each rest a week, and wool that rests recovers. The pair outlasts a single suit by years, not months. Navy and charcoal is the classic pair; a mid-gray for summer and a deep blue for winter is the pair that photographs better in the sanctuary.
The rotation on a budget
Two suits from the Everyday Classics tier at $139 to $159, and the rack runs 34 short to 70 long, portly included, at the same price. Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, fits both to you in one coordinated fitting.
Sunday hours
We open at noon on Sundays and stay to six, which means after service is a real option. From Nine Mile it is Greenfield north; the showroom is just south of I-696.
Also for Southfield: A Bar Mitzvah at Shaarey Zedek: The First Real Suit. More on style consulting, or plan your visit to our Oak Park showroom.
