From Telegraph and Eureka the choice is north on Telegraph itself or over to the Southfield Freeway, either of them to I-696 and off at Greenfield. It’s a genuine drive rather than a hop, which means the first visit should be constructed to do as much as possible rather than left to chance.
What makes a first visit productive
Three objects and two facts. The shoes that will be worn with the suit, the shirt if it exists, and the invitation if there is one. Then the occasion and the date, said at the start.
Why the date belongs at the start
Because it determines what work can be taken on. Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, handles the smallest jobs frequently while a customer waits; for bigger work, he quotes the job and confirms the completion date before he starts.
And it lets you choose differently
If the date is tight, a suit that needs less doing to it may be the better buy than a slightly better suit that needs more. That’s a real decision and it can only be made if the timing is on the table before anything is pinned.
