Huntington Woods is called the City of Homes for a reason that shows on a map: winding streets, trees, houses, and essentially no commercial strip. Other suburbs put a downtown at their center. This one put the Gillham Recreation Center there, alongside the library, Burton Elementary and the park, and left the shopping to everybody else.
What that costs and what it buys
It costs the convenience of walking somewhere to buy something. It buys quiet, and residents here decided long ago that the trade was worth it. Nobody in this city is looking for an argument about that, and a suit is not the thing that will change anyone’s mind.
The practical version
It means every purchase of any size means driving, so the question is not whether to drive but whether the place at the other end is worth the trip. For a suit, worth it means depth: your size present in more than one cloth and more than one tier, so the decision gets made in front of the garments instead of in front of a screen.
Which is a short hop
Down the I-696 service drive, and the floor at the other end holds 32,000 suits in sizes from 34 short to 70 long, portly included, with Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store.
