You don’t know the room. Dress for that.
Navy suit, white shirt, a tie with one color in it. It is right in the most formal office on the road and not wrong in the least formal one. Overdressed in a casual room is a small mistake. Underdressed in a formal one is the whole interview.
The second interview
By then you have seen the floor. If it was jackets and open collars, the jacket comes back without the tie. If it was suits, wear the charcoal.
