Walled Lake Northern High School opened on Bogie Lake Road in 2003, and its graduates walk out of the last ceremony into a summer that starts with a stage and turns into a chair: the first interviews, for the summer job, the internship, the college program. The suit that does both is bought for the chair.
The chair
Sitting is where fit shows. A jacket that pulls at the button, a collar that lifts, trousers that ride up the sock. All three are fit, and fit is decided before the price is. Ask the consultant to check the suit with him sitting down, not just standing.
Navy, plain
A navy suit with a white shirt is right for every interview a graduate will have this summer, and it’s right for the stage too. Save the pattern for the second suit.
The tier
An Everyday Classic, $139 to $159, is honest money for a boy who may be a different size next year. Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, hems it to the shoes he’ll interview in, and a hem is a small job he can often do while you wait.
