From the Van Dyke and Tech Center corridors, I-696 west runs to Greenfield Road. It’s a real journey, and a shop that asks people to make it has an obligation to make the visit worth the fuel rather than simply hoping it is.
What we can do about the first visit
Have the size range actually present, so the trip ends in a fitting rather than an order: 32,000 suits, 34 short to 70 long, portly included. And have the tailor in the building, so what needs changing is settled with the man wearing it standing there.
What you can do
Bring the shoes and, if it exists, the shirt. Know the occasion and the date. Those three things routinely determine whether a trip finishes a suit or schedules another one.
What honesty requires us to add
If you’re a straightforward size buying one suit for one occasion, the depth that justifies this drive matters less to you, and there are closer options. The trip pays for itself most for men who are hard to fit, and we’d rather say that than pretend otherwise.
