Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital is 191 beds on 80 acres. First a walk. Then a lobby. Then a chair in a small room. The suit has to survive the walk and look composed in the chair, and those aren’t the same test.
The walk
A jacket that fits through the shoulder doesn’t ride up when you carry a folder, and trousers that sit at the waist stay there across a parking lot. That’s a fit question, and it’s settled at the mirror.
The chair
Sitting is where a bad fit shows: the front pulls, the collar lifts off the neck, and the interviewer sees it before you’ve said a word. Navy or charcoal, plain over pattern, so the person across the table remembers the answers. Wool breathes on the long walk, so Signature Wool, $259 to $299, is the suit for a day with a walk in it. An Everyday Classic, $139 to $159, holds its press through the chair and is honest money for one interview.
Before the day
Come in a week early, or earlier. Roman, master tailor at Lincoln Tailor, on site in our store, can often do a hem while you wait, and for anything bigger he quotes the job and confirms the completion date before he starts, so the first visit tells you whether a week is enough.
