The Royal Oak Music Theatre has stood downtown since 1928, and its marquee ends up in every wedding photo taken there. Couples who marry there tend to go black tie, and the room takes it. A party of seven in seven different blacks doesn’t read as black tie. It reads as seven rentals from seven places.
One order for the whole party
So the first thing we do is put the whole party on one order. That’s you, the best man, the groomsmen, and both fathers if they want in. Every measurement lands on one sheet. If some of the men live out of town, the wedding team can tell you how measuring from home works for your date. Arriving together is worth something too, so ask about group pricing for parties of five or more.
Rent it or own it
The second thing is a question only you can answer: how many times will you wear it? Once is a rental. If it’s the next three weddings in the same circle of friends, buy it. Our half-canvassed line runs $300 to $500, and that’s where a lot of men land once they do the math.
The half inch that gets fixed here
The third thing is Roman. Lincoln Tailor is inside the store, so a sleeve that is a half inch long gets fixed here, and basic alterations can often be completed the same day, depending on the garment and current workload. Most people don’t leave for a second appointment somewhere else.
From downtown it is one stretch of I-696: on at Main or Woodward, off at Greenfield, and the showroom is immediately south.
